This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid TellDone subscriptions bought on the web at app.telldone.app. We want you to be happy with TellDone, so we keep this straightforward. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play instead, those purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund rules — request an App Store refund at reportaproblem.apple.com and a Google Play refund through Google Play; we cannot directly refund store purchases.
TellDone is operated by Evgheni Taracanov, a private individual (Mun. București, Sec. 3, Str. Lăcrămioarei nr. 35-37, bl. 3-4, sc. 2, et. 1, ap. 45, Romania), reachable at support@telldone.app or +40 720 236 439.
How you bought TellDone determines who took your payment and who handles a refund:
If TellDone is not for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of your payment, whether it is your first purchase or a renewal. You do not need to explain why.
For a purchase made on the web, we refund the full amount you paid for that billing period to your original payment method.
For a purchase made through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are issued by Apple or Google under their own rules and we cannot issue them ourselves. Write to us anyway: we will tell you how to request it and confirm on our side that you asked in time.
TellDone has a free plan, a 7-day free trial on paid plans, and a Welcome Gift that unlocks 30 days of Pro free on your first recording, so you can see whether it fits before anything is charged. At the end of the 7-day free trial, your plan converts to a paid, auto-renewing subscription at the price shown at signup unless you cancel before the trial ends; cancel during the trial and you are not billed. The Welcome Gift needs no card, so when its 30 days of Pro end, your account simply returns to the Free plan unless you have chosen a paid plan, and you are never charged for it.
Once the 14-day window has passed, payments for the current billing period are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law (see Section 8) or where we agree otherwise. We do not give partial or prorated refunds for unused time in a period you have already paid for. If something is genuinely wrong on our side, such as a double charge or a service we could not deliver, contact us and we will put it right. And if the service is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to what you paid for, your statutory remedies (such as repair, a price reduction, or a refund) are not limited to the 14-day window.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime: on the web from your account settings or through the manage-subscription link in any Paddle receipt email; on iPhone in the system Settings under your Apple subscriptions; on Android in your Google Play subscriptions. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and then does not renew. Cancelling on its own does not trigger a refund; to request one, see Section 6.
Bought on the web: email support@telldone.app from the address on your account, or use Settings → Contact Support in the app, and include the order or receipt ID from your Paddle confirmation email. You can also start a refund directly from the buyer portal linked in that email.
Bought through the App Store: request the refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Bought through Google Play: request it from your Google Play order history.
Either way you can write to us and we will help. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
For web purchases, approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method, in the original currency of the purchase. Refunds include any VAT, GST, or sales tax that was charged. The refund is usually completed within a few business days, though your bank or card provider may take up to 10 business days to show it. If your card was billed in a different currency, your bank’s exchange rate at the time of the refund may differ slightly from the rate at purchase, so the amount you receive in your local currency may vary. For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, the method and timing of a refund are determined by Apple or Google.
Nothing in this policy limits the mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence. Consumers in the EU and the UK, for example, have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. If you ask us to start your subscription during that 14-day period and then withdraw, we may charge a proportionate amount for the service actually provided up to the moment you tell us; you lose the right of withdrawal entirely only if, at checkout, you expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged losing that right. To withdraw, you may use any withdrawal function we provide in the app or at checkout, or notify us by a clear statement — for example, using the model withdrawal form — at support@telldone.app. Independently of any statutory right, our 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 2 applies to every payment. Except as required by those mandatory rights, this policy is read together with the governing law stated in our Terms of Service.
If you see a charge you do not recognise or believe is a mistake, please contact us first. We can almost always sort it out faster than a bank dispute. If a chargeback is opened on an active paid subscription, access to that subscription’s paid features may be paused while the payment provider reviews the dispute, and restored once it is resolved. This does not affect your statutory rights or your ability to dispute a charge with your bank.
This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service: on refunds, cancellation, and web billing this policy controls; the Terms of Service govern all other use of TellDone. We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date above, and the version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
